These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Witch, a website monitoring service operated by XODO Services SRL ("Witch", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Witch, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Witch monitors websites you configure and notifies you when they change or fail. Monitoring includes HTTP and TLS checks, and on paid plans, browser-based checks that render your pages in Chromium on desktop and mobile viewports, collect console and network error signals, and compare screenshots against accepted baselines.

2. Your account

You must provide an accurate name and email address, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be authorized to bind any organization whose workspace you use.

3. Authorized monitoring only

You may only monitor targets you own or are explicitly authorized to monitor. Witch's browser monitoring is designed for observational website monitoring of your own properties — checking that your site renders and works — not for security testing, penetration testing, or vulnerability research of third-party systems.

4. Acceptable use

See our Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated by reference. Prohibited uses include unauthorized security probing, credential attacks (including brute-force or credential-stuffing targets), intentionally excessive traffic, attempts to bypass access restrictions or rate limits, and any illegal use.

5. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly through our payment provider. Plan entitlements (site limits, check intervals, history retention) follow the plan described at signup. You may cancel at any time; see our Billing & Cancellation Policy for details.

6. Customer data

You remain responsible for the URLs you ask us to monitor and the data collected from them (screenshots, page content signals, error messages). Do not monitor pages containing data you are not permitted to process. See our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Data Processing Addendum.

7. Service availability

We aim for continuous operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Monitoring results may be delayed, incomplete, or affected by factors outside our control (the monitored site, networks, third-party providers). No specific uptime SLA applies unless separately agreed in writing.

8. Term and termination

You may stop using Witch and cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or for extended non-payment.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost revenue or data.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged and, where they affect existing obligations, you will be asked to accept the updated version before continued use. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
