Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: the publication date shown above

This policy describes conduct that is prohibited when using Witch. It supplements the Terms of Service.

Monitoring authorization

You may only add monitoring targets (URLs) for sites you own, operate, or have explicit written permission to monitor. "Monitoring" includes HTTP checks, TLS checks, and browser rendering with screenshots.

Prohibited conduct

  • Unauthorized security probing. Using Witch's browser checks, DOM signals, or error collection to probe for vulnerabilities, exposed data, or misconfigurations of systems you are not authorized to test.
  • Credential attacks. Pointing monitors at login endpoints in a manner consistent with brute-force or credential-stuffing, or using Witch to attack authentication systems.
  • Excessive traffic. Configuring monitoring at intervals or volume designed to burden a target (including deliberate load). Interval minimums are enforced per plan, but deliberate abuse is prohibited regardless of configuration.
  • Bypassing restrictions. Circumventing rate limits, access controls, entitlement limits, or technical safeguards.
  • Illegal use. Any use violating applicable law, including monitoring that infringes privacy or intellectual property rights.

Design intent

Witch's browser monitoring is observational website monitoring: it verifies that your own pages render and function correctly. It is not a security scanner, vulnerability exploitation tool, or load testing platform.

Enforcement

We may suspend monitors, workspaces, or accounts that violate this policy. We may also pause monitoring during operational emergencies affecting the platform.
